History

The name Nebbiolo comes from the fog (nebbia) that descends during harvest time. Cultivated in Piedmont for centuries, it gained worldwide fame after modern winemaking was established in the 19th century.

Sommelier Note

Don't be fooled by Nebbiolo's appearance. Despite its pale color, the intense tannins will surprise you. Barolo shows its best after at least 10 years, Barbaresco after 5+ years of aging. Its pairing with white truffles is a dream marriage.
