History

Known in France as Cahors' 'black wine,' it crossed to Argentina in the 19th century and flourished in the highland terroir. Today it's Argentina's signature variety with worldwide popularity.

Sommelier Note

Argentine Malbec gets deeper in color and firmer in tannins with higher altitude. Its pairing with asado (Argentine BBQ) goes without saying. With excellent quality-to-price ratio, it's recommended for everyday drinking.
