History

Native to France's Loire Valley. The name means 'wild (sauvage) white (blanc).' Besides being blended with Sémillon in Bordeaux, it's loved worldwide as a single variety.

Sommelier Note

Sauvignon Blanc is best enjoyed fresh. New Zealand's passion fruit notes and Loire's minerality each have completely different charms. It pairs perfectly with raw oysters and goat cheese.
