History

Said to have been cultivated in the Northern Rhône since ancient Roman times. By the 1960s, it had declined to fewer than 30 hectares worldwide, but following success in California and Australia, it's now grown globally.

Sommelier Note

Viognier is a variety that overwhelms with its aromatic splendor. Condrieu's Viognier is especially exceptional, with apricot and floral aromas filling your palate. Don't over-chill as it closes the aromatics; enjoy at 12-14°C.
