History

Native to Bordeaux, the name comes from the French word for 'little blackbird.' It shows its finest expression in Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, producing some of the world's finest wines like Château Pétrus.

Sommelier Note

Merlot's charm is its approachability even when young. Pomerol Merlot is exceptional and becomes surprisingly complex with age. It pairs wonderfully with mushroom dishes, and is the perfect partner for truffle pasta.
